Even if we had some particular purpose in mind that we felt we weren't living up to, it would really be a simple matter of seeing or understanding what our inactivity or lack of progress on that nominated project was caused by - like tendencies of thought, even physical causes, etc. There are also many things we think we "should" be getting on with which are themselves totally unnecessary and illusory, hence a real consideration and observation of whether one's "must dos" have any real basis is important Without clear understanding we can spend lifetimes obliging ourselves to do silly things and chasing unattainable things like "enlightenment."Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13336170712582967804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4119434893893991335.post-71930696604559873482010-07-11T17:48:33.083-07:002010-07-11T17:48:33.083-07:00It seems to be as simple as while there is a perce...It seems to be as simple as while there is a perception that I am a person ( a seperate entity ) , inevitably I will have problems ( including bad habits/addictions ) . If there is no one there , who owns the perceived problems ?
There are just actions ( or non-actions )happening but no one doing it .
And what is the biggest addiction of them all ? The addiction to "me" .
So what to do ? Who knows ? Maybe another zen koan has started here...............Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02317900192595500655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4119434893893991335.post-82627189325852615992010-07-01T10:14:39.055-07:002010-07-01T10:14:39.055-07:00Thank you, a few days ago while watching televisio...Thank you, a few days ago while watching television I felt guilty for that and felt that instead I should be reading a spiritual book.

All these feelings of should, should not and of course the struggle are made possible by the idea of being a person who is doing things, the false sense of ownership.

Thank you for being so straight and simple.Roelandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01915815343006305298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4119434893893991335.post-14653434858025167252010-06-30T09:53:19.323-07:002010-06-30T09:53:19.323-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Roelandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01915815343006305298noreply@blogger.com
